Blue Mountains Radio Players have been performing for about 15 years in venues around Katoomba in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia.

Inspired by Juliette Palmer-Frederick, the ranks of the Players have included professional and amateur actors, usually about a dozen in number.

Performances are before a live audience, using mainly scripts transcribed from original performances of the 1930s 1940s and 1950s.

The repertoire includes plays from such long-running drama series as SuspenseEscape and Quiet Please! ; episodes from the comedy series Easy AcesBaby Snooks and Daddy and Life of Riley; and crimes solved by Sherlock HolmesBoston Blackie and The Thin Man.

The only concession to modern technology is the use of the computer for sound effects and recording, due to limitations of space and manpower.

The Players used to perform at 2.30 pm on the last Sunday of each month, February to November, at Palais Royale 230 Katoomba Street, Katoomba where you can book and enjoy an overnight stay to prepare for the plays.

Some of our performances have been recorded and are available on CD.
